OIH (Orascom Investment Holdings) is a holding company that has investments in companies with operations mainly in Egypt, Lebanon and other North African and Middle Eastern countries. The activities of OIH are mainly divided into its GSM, Media and Technology, and Cable businesses. The GSM activities include mobile telecommunications operations in Egypt and Lebanon. The Media and Technology division consists of OT Ventures/Intouch Communications Service and the OT Ventures Internet portals and other ventures in Egypt, including LINK Development, ARPU+ and LINKonLINE. The Cable business focuses on the management of cable networks.

Orastar Limited is an institutional investor focusing on Private Equity mostly in the unlisted tech, IT and Power Generation space. The company is a value investor which makes the determination of investing based on defined criteria. This includes qualitative and quantitative as well as ESR/Sustainability related aspects. The company has made investments in listed equities including REITS based on attractive PE multiples and arbitrage between the listed value and breakup value of the underlying company.

Orastar has recently increased its ownership stake in TWA showing considerable confidence specifically in TWA and generally in the telecoms and
IT sector in Pakistan. Orastar continues to look for strategic targets in IT and Telecom space in Emerging Markets to consolidate and provide value-added, competitively priced, and new technology lead services to the markets where it invests.

Bin Abdul Mone’m Al Zawawi

Omani businessman, Omar Bin Abdul Mone’m Al Zawawi has been a leading figure in the economic development of the Sultanate of Oman since 1970 and adviser on foreign policy matters to Sultan Qaboos bin Sa’id Al ‘Bu Sa’id since 1974. His early education was in Bombay and his schooling continued in Beirut and then at Cairo University where he earned his medical degree. Upon graduation he practiced medicine for a time in Saudi Arabia. He later studied medical economics at Harvard University. He’s operating under the umbrella of the Omar Zawawi Establishment (the OMZEST Group), quickly developed a wide range of businesses that played an active role in the economic development of Oman. The OMZEST Group has over 75 wholly owned and associate companies. The Group is one of the Oman Sultanate’s premier and diversified business Groups. The Group’s Chairman, H.E.
