MS Team visits Transworld
Microsoft Teams from Milan and Morocco visited TWA. A fruitful and a positive meeting was held under the chairmanship of Transworld’s Vice President Commercial Mr. Faisal Abbasi. All Heads of the Commercial Department attended the meeting. Microsoft was represented by Mr. Christophe Le Roux, Mr. Federico Guerrini and Mr. Stephane Consalvi. Both companies will be working together in the future to sell Microsoft Express Route.

TWA presence at ITW Chicago
Transworld is well represented at International Telecoms Week (ITW) in Chicago, with the presence of President TWA, Mr. Kamran Malik. International Telecoms Week (ITW) is the world’s largest meeting for the global wholesale telecommunications community. Now in its 9th year, ITW provides the ideal platform to position your company in front of an international audience and offers a unique blend of networking and business opportunities.

Marketing planning various GPON activities
The marketing team is working on number of GPON marketing campaign, especially for DHA’s clientele at different locations in DHA Phase V & VI, Karachi.

ERP is being deployed for GPON in Transworld. The Management along with the IT team is evaluating options. As we grow the share, effective systems are require to service the customers.

GPON Updates
As we enter in 2nd quarter, GPON’s pilot reaches its completion stage. Sales team with aggressive support extended by all functions, are setting up new benchmarks month after month.

Social Media Updates
We have seen a continuing increase in Social Media exposure with TWA Facebook page touching 2,276 Likes this month. TWA LinkedIn page has reached 3,008 followers. TES Facebook & LinkedIn pages have seen an increase in its fan base as well because Team Marketing has made sure that they answer any query that arises on all its pages. Following additional likes and followers, TWA has generated a lot of leads from social Media as well.

Interview with Mr. Muhammad Omer Raza

Please give us a brief overview of your journey prior to joining Transworld.
I completed my articleship from Ernst & Young and presently a fellow member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK. My professional career began in Transworld in 2007.
We would like to know your experience in Transworld including your accomplishments in this period and the added value to Transworld as an employee.
I have been with Transworld for over 9 years now. Over these years, I have played a vital role in key finance and accounts function of the organization. Moreover, I was awarded “Employee of the Year” in 2009 and have been part of the “Star Employee Program” from the very beginning.
What problems did you encounter during your journey in Transworld?
Problems and Challenges are everywhere. TWA is a very dynamic organization. Being a finance person, I have seen all good and challenging times of TWA in these 9 years. Because of TWA’s management and devoted employees, TWA has not only grown remarkably but the problems are resolved in trifling time as well.
Did you have any training relevant to your position and scope of work given by Transworld?
I have been sent abroad on number of training organized by OT. The training programs were focused primarily on new pronouncements of “International Financial Reporting Standards” and Group Reporting System of OT. Other than that, I have been given the opportunity to be part of various local training programs on Leadership, Financial Modeling etc.
Where do you see TWA in next ten years?
Transworld has grown phenomenally in last ten years. I see it as a leading Telecom service provider in the years to come. With the launch of GPON and landing of SMW5 in Pakistan, TWA will soon be operating as a key market player.
